Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all orders and projects placed with MusicScoreMaker (“we”, “us”, “our”) through musicscoremaker.com or via email at info@musicscoremaker.com.

By submitting a project request you agree to these Terms in full.

2. Services

We provide the following music specialist services:

• Audio to Sheet Music (Transcription) — converting audio recordings into notated sheet music
• Music Typesetting & Engraving — digitizing handwritten manuscripts into high-quality scores
• Score Correction & Editing — fixing, rearranging, or simplifying existing sheet music

All work is performed entirely by a human specialist. We do not use AI-generated output in any deliverable.

3. Ordering Process

1. Client submits a project request via the contact form or email
2. We review the request and send a quote or clarification email within 24 hours
3. To start the project, a 50% pre-payment is required

4. Pricing & Payment

• All prices are quoted per project in EUR or USD
• Prices are fixed at the time of quote confirmation and will not change unless the project scope changes after work has begun
• Payment model: 50% deposit upfront, 50% on delivery
• Final files are shared after the project is complete
• Payment methods: Depend on the client's region — details provided in the quote
• Rush orders: Available upon request; rush pricing may apply
• Minimum order: None

5. Revisions

• Each project includes 2 rounds of minor revisions at no extra charge
• A “minor revision” means correcting errors, adjusting notation details, or small layout changes within the agreed scope
• Changes that alter the original project scope (e.g. adding instruments, transposing to multiple keys, significant rearrangement) are treated as a new or extended order and quoted separately
• Revision requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery

6. Delivery

• Finished files are delivered by email as PDF, MusicXML, and MIDI (where applicable)
• Minimum delivery time is 24 hours; exact timeline depends on project complexity and is estimated individually in the quote
• For large or complex projects we may deliver in agreed stages for client review
• If source material is unclear or incomplete, we will contact the client before proceeding — this may affect the delivery timeline
• We are not responsible for delays caused by late client responses or late payment

7. Copyright & Ownership

• Upon receipt of full payment, the client receives full ownership of the finished score and all delivered files
• All client projects are kept private and are not shared anywhere by default. Portfolio use of any work requires explicit client approval and is presented anonymously, with no client information or full notation revealed
• We are not responsible for any copyright claims arising from the source material provided by the client

8. Confidentiality

• All client files and project details are kept strictly private and are not shared with third parties
• Upon written request before project start, we are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

9. Cancellations & Refunds

• The client may cancel the order any time before work has begun for a full refund of the deposit
• If work has already started, the deposit is non-refundable as it covers work already completed
• Refund processing time depends on the payment method and region

10. Limitation of Liability

• Our total liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the amount paid for that project
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind
• We can always provide files in additional formats and offer software recommendations or possible solutions if you have trouble opening a delivered file

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
